Well the summer in Ireland never really started so when the Indian Summer came along earlier this week we welcomed it with open arms! The last few days has been so nice with some glorious sunshine to cheer us all up! That said I am really looking forward to the Autumn season starting. Finally weather appropriate clothing is now available in the stores for us Irish Girls! Lets face it we never get the weather for all the shorts, bikinis and dresses that swamp the stores for the summer months.
This outfit snap is a quick example of transitional dressing. Its tough mixing and matching your Summer and Winter pieces to create that perfect day time look. This particular day I had a few meetings and some things to collect in town. I didn't want to look under dressed or over dressed, I wanted something in between. I opted for this Light denim pocketless shirt from ONLY. I teamed the shirt with a cotton mini skirt, wedge boots and a chunky cardigan (because I am always freezing!)
TIP // Keeping within the one colour palette always helps to piece your look together more easily. This cardigan has flecks of blue and charcoal throughout complimenting the Blue denim shirt and charcoal skirt.
These boots have been the best thing I have ever bought, I never take them off! They were in Bowtique last season and literally walked out the door the day they arrived! The shape, fit and wedge heel make them perfect for day time and ideal for toning down more dressier pieces!
TIP // Keeping The shirt and cardigan slightly loose and oversized helped to balance the tightness of the mini skirt.
I then tucked the shirt in leaving the top few buttons open to keep the look relaxed.Over all this outfit worked for both my working day and the chilly weather. I felt smart and dressy without being over the top especially braving a mini for day time! I lost all my images when my iPhone crashed again! I had to use my Instagram pictures for this outfit post! Sorry the quality isn't so good!
Lots of Love,
